The production line of Spiral Welded Pipe Mill is flow process from starting production to finish gathering and storing. The ultrasonic flaw detection, X Ray inspection and hydraulic test can all be carried out continuously. It can be used to produce the spiral welded pipes with its quality in conformity with API standard.
Spiral welded steel pipe is widely applied to various fluid conveying such as petroleum natural gas and water as well as construction structural pipes and piling pipes etc. Production process of the spiral pipe mill is continuous production line and also the mill can produce spiral welded steel pipe as per API standard in terms of quality. Process Flow: Raw Material Loading(coil loading)-uncoiling-unpeeling-flattening-shearing-butt weld-rotary shear and scrap chopper-edge milling(edge planning)-cleaning-main drive-prebending-guide plate-forming-inner welding-outside welding-ultrasonic weldseam test-pipe cutting-steel pipe output-inner welding flux cleaning-inspection and repairing-pipe end repairing-X-ray inspection (repairing)- pipe end face beveling-hydrotester-ultrasonic test, weighing and length measuring-final product inspection-warehousing.
The production mode of spiral mill include front swing type and back swing type. the front swing type is the conventional spiral mill. In the back swing production type, there is a flying car just like a accumulator which is used for coil joinning during forming process in the entry section. and there is pipe handling car to pick up the pipe from payoff table to pipe conveyors in the mill back section
